Small Business Free Referrals with No Catches

I'm a Small Business Owner interested in marketing and referral opportunities for free. I've looked into many options, most of them costing money and some of them just too structured. I'm proposing an idea were it is extremely laid back and a group of us get together, possible exchange business cards, and have good referrals for one another. For example I own a Advertising company which gives free advertising, but every option I look into to try and market my company costs a lot of money. I've looked into mailing, distributing printed material, adds, etc. How nice would it be as a Small Business Owner to get together with a handful of people that can give you some referrals and lead you into possible customers. So let's get together, bring some business cards and any other information that might help someone out.

1.Meet and Greet
2.Hand out your business cards to everyone
3.Individually go around for a few minutes and tell everyone about your business and what kind of referrals your looking for
4.Discuss what referrals you might have for one another.
