    The person who set up this meetup cancelled it because he didn't get the response he had hoped for. He stated there were 25 attendees and I say that was more than enough to network and spread the news of your business. He proceeded to send out a link to a website that may or may not work for us but will totally benefit him. He prevent the 25 people who showed interest from meeting and their knowledge and business prospectives.

I think he failed to understand that 25 people is 25 more people you did not know and 25 more people to network with. I thought that was the whole point of a meetup. Maybe there should be better screening of people who start meetup groups.
