 uled to present at its July 15 event.\n\n \n\nAppCore is a developer of Web
 -based software applications\, or “Apps\,” for use on Apple’s iPhone and iP
 od Touch handheld devices.  Users download Apps such as games\, entertainme
 nt\, social networking and business utilities from Apple’s iTune App Store.
    \n\n \n\nAppCore is currently earning monthly revenue from its early eff
 orts in the Apple App Store with titles such as iPopcCorn\, iBelieve\, FINE
 !\, Office Pool\, and Stick It!\n\n \n\n“Since its launch in July 2008\, Ap
 ple's iPhone App Store has been tapped for over a billion downloads of Apps
  typically priced from $0.99 to $9.99\,” says Kreg Sheppard\, vice presiden
 t of business development at AppCore.  \n\n \n\n“When we learned how quickl
 y the App Store was mushrooming into a major global business\, we realized 
 that there is a lucrative and immediate opportunity for smaller ventures to
  create a significant and sustainable presence in iPhone Apps.  We are on t
 he ground floor of something big\, and we believe more capital now can take
  us where we need to be next\,” Sheppard added. \n\n \n\nThe company’s grow
 th plans require about $750\,000 in funding to accelerate development and m
 arketing of Apps.  \n\n \n\n“AppCore is a good example of the type of small
  high tech firm that the RTP community must support\,” said Tom Vass\, the 
 organizer of the July 15 angel event. “Our local economy is growing an impo
 rtant new technology cluster in online video game development and their ser
 vices support that emerging cluster.”\n\n \n\nThe RTP Angel Capital Exchang
 e is an open business networking event that provides both existing companie
 s and new ventures a platform for describing their growth plans.\n\n \n\nAp
 pCore is the second company selected to present at the July 15 event.\n\n \
