RTP Product Development Guild To Co-Host The Idea Brainstorming Forum for Unemployed Scientists, Engineers, IT Professionals and Business Managers

Montie Roland, President of the Guild, Expresses His Commitment to Helping Unemployed Professionals Discover Ideas For Starting A Business

Morrisville, N. C. The RTP Product Development Guild, a community based, private organization of consultants who share a common interest in promoting technological product innovation to grow the RTP regional economy, will co-host the August 19, 2009 Brainstorming Event for unemployed scientists and engineers.

“Our civic duty is to use our skills and professional abilities to guide entrepreneurs in their quest for product commercialization,” said Roland, the leader of the Guild. “Our Guild members provide entrepreneurs, inventors, and small engineering companies independent consulting advice and guidance on product innovation and technology. We are committed to working with other innovation groups to help people discover good business ideas and get those ideas into the market.”

Helping unemployed professionals figure out what types of new businesses may work well in the RTP regional economy is the goal of the August 19, 2009 networking event at the BNC in Cary.

The other co-host for the event is Heather O’Sullivan, the owner of HeatherO, a social media marketing firm, based in Apex, N. C. She will be there to help budding entrepreneurs learn how to use social media tools, like Twitter, to find business partners and to promote the new business ideas.

“The RTP economy has economic strengths in 13 high technology industrial clusters,” said Tom Vass, the organizer of the event. Break out networking groups will be formed in the industrial sectors to allow participants to brainstorm business ideas.

The RTP Business Idea Brainstorming Network is an open monthly business event that provides a platform for unemployed professionals to meet people who want to start a business. The event is held monthly at the BNC Center in Cary, and begins at 4:30. There is a $10 fee at the door to attend, which includes the price of the first drink.

Pre-registration is available at Inside919.com. The event is limited to 100 attendees.

About the RTP Business Idea Brainstorming Network: We are all about brainstorming new ideas for products and markets and helping local companies raise growth capital. Each month, we present an idea brain storming session for budding entrepreneurs who would like to discover an idea for a new venture. Contact Tom Vass. tvass@privatecapitalmarket.com 919 9754856.

Only a small $10 charge to attend and light hors d' oeuvres will be served and includes one beverage ticket.
