This group is being organized by the American Association of MicroBusinesses (AAM), a non-profit Professional Association Committed to the Growth of MicroBusinesses. Founded in 1995, AAM's main focus is on Education, Networking, Commerce and Mentoring. AAM achieves these four critical elements by providing numerous member programs and services. AAM operates year-round with monthly program meetings, a monthly newsletter, special events, and a growing list of member benefits and services from local and regional, as well as national partners.

AAM also co-produces the Small Business Resources Expo, along with New Business Minnesota magazine. The Expo is the largest and most comprehensive small business event in the Midwest and benefits all attendees, emerging entrepreneurs, and partners of the microbusiness demographic.

AAM operates with an autonomous board of directors and enjoys a large list of organizational partners and alliances.
